Stoneware with an artificial ash glaze (not raku).
The term "artificial" is used because the glaze contains no ash.
Instead, its 14 ingredients serve to create the properties and behaviour of an ash glaze.

Smooth white stoneware high-fired to Cone9 with
an artificial ash glaze applied over a gold pigment.
When the resultant, entirely random, crazing of the glaze has fully developed, it is highlighted with ink.
